Are you using these 16 Gifts in your Life?

There are many Gifts that have been blessed upon you, free of charge. They are for you to use liberally.

Without these gifts, one would be but a shadow of one’s true potential as a dynamic human being. When all of these gifts are used to their full intent, then mountains move and your journey through Life is enriched.

My question to You [two actually].

Do you recognise the impact that these gifts will have on your Life? And do you use them?

Today I am highlighting 16 of these precious “gifts”.

* To Love

Share this, feel this. Love your work, love your Life. Love yourself and others. This is all empowering. I’m sure that you love some things. Expand on this & love some more.

* To Listen

Therefore to understand and to know which questions to ask. Listen to your inner self. Listen to nature. Listen with intent.

* To Laugh

To ease any pain, to comfort one’s soul. To wash away the tears. To enjoy fellowship.

To enjoy your successes. To pick you up when you are down.16 Gifts in your life Blog Post

* To Choose

Choose well. Life is full of choices. The choices that you make can create a wonderful Life for you. They can also turn around a Life that has run off the tracks or simply does not know better.

* To take Action

Don’t leave things hanging. Follow through on your thoughts, your dreams, your goals, your conversations, your friendships, your loves

* To Share

Make your Life and someone else’s richer by sharing yourself … possibly the greatest gift of them all.

* To Care

A must. Caring about every thing that you do makes a close cousin of “purpose”. Without care, chaos rules … just look at our world today.

* To See

I call this a type of “knowing”.  It is not just seeing what is in front of you but seeing through the maze for the answer beyond. This allows you to select and maintain the path that is right for you.

* To know Truth

So as to avoid the many obstacles and pitfalls of Life. Our ‘truths’ will differ however knowing yours will make your Life an easier one to travel.

* To live Life

To your full potential. You don’t just exist. You extend beyond this and embrace Life. You play, get involved, be creative and feel Life.

* To give Friendship

Especially when it’s needed most. This is a powerful bond between you & others. Being a friend is Special.

* To enjoy Family

To give, receive, share all the joys, sorrows, setbacks, successes that contribute to a full Life.

* To have Vision

So that you see what can be ahead of you. So that you can create whatever it is that will make you most happy. So you can breakthrough anything that is currently holding you down. So you can break free of anything that is restricting you.

* To Dream

And therefore to create. To inspire and motivate you toward achievement. To see beyond what is currently there before you. To go further than what you currently limit yourself to.

* To Explore

Both internally and externally. Explore your own internal mechanics. Find out what you are truly capable of. Explore the outside world, nature, people, customs, beliefs … new horizons … what awaits you outside your comfort zone, all great explorations.

* To have Purpose

Can be summarised in many ways and I have written about this on many occasions. However for this posting, I would say that the 15 Gifts preceeding this one are all part of Purpose. A greater purpose.

Well, what do you think about that? I welcome your thoughts, ideas, comments as usual.

    What a beautiful reminder to live life to the full and use all the gifts that we naturally have to create a fulfilling life. While I can say that I am using these “tools” much more frequently than ever before, there are a few areas that deserve more attention. I do love the dreaming part as I find that as adults we lose that ability because we fear we’ll be judged and won’t be able to keep up with reality. However, if you take time to dream, your life will magically enhance and your level of happiness will increase. It’s one of the best things you can do for yourself. 🙂

    Great list David and the greatest is LOVE. I would also add hope. When we have hope we can always see the light shinning through.
    Thanks for the reminder that life is wonderful. We just have to enjoy it and know we are not alone.

    Hi David,

    This was a very creative post and I loved the 16 gifts you pointed out. What I enjoyed in particular is how you explained that all these points are gifts, which we all have access to and following up on them makes a life truly worth living.

    Thank you.

    The decisions made today determine how tomorrow will be. The present is all you own. Live, love, enjoy, wish and accomplish. Place no faith in time, the clock may soon be still. Today is a new day. Even if you were wrong yesterday, you can get it right today. Tomorrow is not promised and the past cannot be changed therefore live each day to the fullest and know that every new day is a blessing. What hurts you today, makes you stronger tomorrow. Why look behind you, you can’t change it. Why fret over the future, it’s not here. Why don’t you live for today, and make it so wonderful it’s worth remembering. Yesterday I was sad, today I am happy. Yesterday I had problem, today I still had the same problem. But Today I CHANGED the way I look at it. Your true home is in the here and the now. You must not let your life run in the ordinary way; do something that nobody else has done, something that will dazzle the world. Show that God’s creative principle works in you. Today will never come again. Be a friend. Be a blessing. Encourage someone. Take time to care. Let your words heal and not wound.
