=======================================================================

Hello Life Lovers. Here’s 10 pointers that I believe are of significant importance in maintaining a life balance that is in Your favour. Many you will already know. In fact, you know them all …..  But are you taking notice of them and applying these to your Life?

Life can get away from you. Both in calendar years  … and when you lose contact with your day by getting caught up in the “busyness” and pushing the important things into the background.

I know that I need more practise on a few of these, see how You go.

Do You have good Health? … Do you eat well, sleep well, see your Doctor for an annual check up (if you are 40+)? They are pretty simple however easy to lapse into poor habits. Treat your body well and it will treat you well. Healthy thoughts also equate to healthy living. Health of the mind as well as the body is vital. Think well, live well.

How is your Energy level? … energy of thoughts and energy of action. Vibrancy is a great word to go with this. If you are constantly tired then there may be excess clutter weighing you down, draining you. What’s on your plate? Is there too much “stuff” that doesn’t add value? Do you have goals that energise you? When you do, each process toward achievement releases the necessary energy and draws you closer, much faster. Focus on things that energise you … it will make all the difference.

What sort of Exercise do You do? … is it a run to the shower of the morning or something a little more demanding? Regular exercise that raises some perspiration contributes to improved fitness & mental wellbeing. I’m not an exercise Guru so you need to search elsewhere for all the finer points however I have always exercised regularly. For me it’s about giving yourself the maximum chance to live longer … and I like that. So don’t be a “Norm”, get on your bike!

Thoughts … There are days when you will have a million of them … most days in fact. Are they Positive, negative, blank or obscure? Minimise the garbage. This is so important. Clear thoughts (mainly) instead of fuzzies will add incredible value to each and every day.

Are You an action taker? … Do you follow through? Do you get started? Do you procrastinate? You may well be happy just going with the flow … and that’s fine if it suits you. But at least get in the flow. Stagnating in nowheresville isn’t healthy.

Beliefs … Are they valid? Are they current? Are they supportive? Do you have any? … you do you know. You will have beliefs about a myriad of things. But when was the last time that you challenged these beliefs? Many may be unhealthy.

You and I can hang on to old beliefs. Some of these may be toxic, some are just old. Review your beliefs, keep the healthy ones and weed out the unhealthy. If you aren’t sure which ones are toxic, contact me and I will help.

Attitude … Positive or Negative, which is yours? I know that your attitude will vary, it’s natural. However looking on the positive side of things for the vast majority of the time will keep you healthy. Even when things appear dim, flip it and look for the positive. It’s generally there, just needs a bit of extra digging on occasion.

Excuses … one of my favourite topics. You will kill yourself with excuses. Regrets will mount up, opportunities will disappear. Don’t let them send you to the Doctor. Avoid them, stay healthy.

Body Language … Do you walk your full height? …  Stand tall & be closer to the stars. Slumped shoulders, broad frowns, crossed arms. These are fatiguing. They send a poor message to your brain and to others with whom you make contact. Straighten the shoulders, swap the frown for a smile and open up your body posture to receiving … the “good” will then have an easier path to navigate to you.

Internal Language … What are you telling yourself? Negative self talk infiltrates everything. It starts as a common cold however can easily turn into a life threatening virus. Feeding it the wrong ‘message’ instead of the right medicine does this. Dose yourself with a stiff prescription of “positivity” for a healthier outlook on life.

Well, how’s Your Health?

    Hi David,
This is so vital. I’ve been a runner for over 15 years. Became a vegetarian at the same time. I’m sooooo healthy. However I do need to stand tall and I’m working on those thoughts daily!!

They are 10 insightful points there David. You cover many aspects of our daily lives – some of which most of us don’t take the time to look at closely. Thanks for the reminder. As I root myself so deeply in Mindset I probably overlook my physical fitness, so I’ll be investigating that from today. Thanks. 🙂

That’s a great idea Stuart. If you’re unhealthy and unfit then your mind will also lag behind.
      Thanks for being here.

    H David,

This was a great post and the 10 points you shared for a healthy, balanced life were brilliant.

In particular, I loved what you wrote about body language. Our postures, the way we stand, walk etc. can so powerfully affect the way we feel. We need to constantly be aware of our body language and ensure it is like the ways you advised in your post, to help our wellbeing.

    Thank you.
